Between Broken and whole
In this project, we explore the boundary between wholeness and fracture.
During the ceramic casting process in plaster molds, paper is inserted as a divider between sections of the mold.
The paper creates tension, expansion, and separations, leading to vessels that remain whole yet appear cracked or split.
The fracture is not the result of damage, but the trace of a material action a testimony to the process that unfolded within the mold.
Here, the fracture becomes a design element, speaking of process, of time, and of a new material language that emerges from within.
Through it, we explore the possibility of finding beauty and meaning precisely in what seems imperfect
